Sebastian Kisworo. Born in 1971, Sebastian Kisworo is an Indonesian photographer currently based in Jakarta. He studied photographer through the Internet.

Interacting with people.

Why did you become a photographer?

Because I liked to paint with light.

What does photography mean to you and what do you want to transmit with your pictures?

Photography is a means to express my feeling, and to document stories.

Artists from inspire me in many ways.

People’s expression, memorable documentary, black and white.



What’s important in order to develop an own photographic voice?

To be consistent.

Black & white, story-telling, strong character, and lighting.

What qualities and characteristics does a good photographer need?

Patient, agile, creative.

What does a photo need to be a great photo in your eyes?

It has to tell a story.

Where do you draw inspiration from for your photographic projects?

In, Facebook and 500px sometimes.

What kind of photography equipment and photographic supplies do you use?

Canon 5D Mk2, 7D, 24mm f2.8, 70-200mm f2.8 IS USM. I like to have a 24-70mm.

I haven’t read any book.

Which advice would you give someone who wants to become a (professional) photographer?

Do learn from other great photographers from their works.
