“Artist Profile” – Zac T Lee

Zac, why did you become a photographer? And what does photography mean to you?

The way I was drawn into photography was not by looking at other artists but as a way of expressing my own experience and emotions.

Which photographer has inspired you most?

The way I was drawn into photography was not by looking at other artists but as a way of expressing my own experience and emotions. There is not any photographer I would specifically choose, instead I like to read theoretical conceptual work, particular within psychology.

What kind of camera and equipment do you use?

This depends on the project but I mainly work with Ebony SV45 Ti and Mamiya 7ii.

What book about photography would you recommend?

I wouldn’t recommend any technical books on photography but instead advise any new photography to look at a wide range of photographic artists books for inspiration.
